Have you ever had one of those moments where you walked into a room or a store and a smell or the surroundings immediately transported you back to your childhood? That is what a trip to Heaven On Earth Restaurant did for me recently when we stumbled across this landmark in Azalea, Oregon.

Tired of heading south on I5 for dinner each night, we decided to take a drive north and explore the area past our campground exit. Being new to the area, I got my iPhone out and consulted my trusty Yelp App. More and more frequently, I’m coming to rely on finding what I’m looking for using this handy free app.

According to their website, Heaven On Earth is “home of the world famous cinnamon rolls” but truth be known, none of us ever made it past the Marion Berry Jam. Of course we all had scrumptious home cooked entrees, and I am in no way diminishing the main course – but the jam was what will leave a lasting impression.
